Padānvēṣi an application developed at LDC-IL for keyword search. It is designed to locate and extract desired words in a corpus along with its contextual usage. It can process TXT or XML files.

By default Padānvēṣi takes its location as the file location of XML/TXT files. If the files are situated at different location, the user has to browse. The set location is displayed.

To find a particular word the user has to enter the word in the keyword text box and click on the search button. The application gives option to the user to search the word as it is or with its various inflections.

It fetches the entire instance where the key word presents along with the context. The context is the sentence. The output is saved as text file named after the keyword at the same location of Padānvēṣi.
