Darpaṇa

Darpaṇa, an LDC-IL application that converts the Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu scripts into International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). It covers all the character encoded in Unicode 15.1 of the respective scripts. Darpaṇa converts the numerals of these language code blocks to Indo-Arabic numerals, and retains the cultural symbols of these script blocks as it is. All other characters are processed for conversion to phonetic alphabet following the conventions of the language.

The G2P system can be used in Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech (TTS) Systems, Language Learning applications and Language analysing technologies.
